இதனைவிட வடக்கிலிருந்து இராணுவத்தை வெளியேற்றுவதற்காக மக்கள் ஆணை வழங்கவில்லை என்பதனை தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பு நினைவில் நிறுத்திக்கொள்ள வேண்டுமெனவும் அவர் இதன் போது தெரிவித்தார்.
